The 20th inaugural lecture of Igbinedion University, Okada has held with a call for the training and retraining of judicial officers, lawyers and para Legal institutions to appreciate the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution ADR.
This formed part of the recommendations by the Inaugural Lecturer, Professor Daniel Uchenna Ibe, Professor of Jurisprudence and Public Law, who delivered the lecture titled “The Jurisprudence of Alternative Dispute Resolution: A reflection of Sustainable Development Goals, SDG No. 16, at the University’s main auditorium, main campus in Okada, Edo State.
Earlier in his opening address, the Vice Chancellor, Igbinedion University, Okada, Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, PhD. FAS, who also doubled as the Chairman of the occasion said the University will continue to remain committed to it’s goal of excellent service delivery as a pacesetting private University in the area of human capacity building, digitization and global competitiveness.
Professor Ezemonye also seized the opportunity to intimate the audience about the milestone achievements of the institution which he said couldn’t have been possible without the unquantifiable support and encouragement of the Hon. Chancellor, His Excellency, Sir. Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the patriarch of the House of Igbinedion.
