Igbinedion University Okada, on Tuesday 29th March, 2022 held its annual postgraduate Training on Power Point Presentation.
The hybrid training which was held physically and virtually Via Zoom, took place at the University’s Main Library Conference Hall.
In his opening remark, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye Ph.D FAS, reiterated the importance of the Academia in the growth and development of any nation.
According to Professor Ezemonye, the uniqueness of the academic circle to societal growth is a function of Research & Development (R&D). He added that R&D has over the last decade metamorphosed into “ Research, Development, Demonstration and Deployment ( RDD&D).
The University don reaffirmed that, post graduate programs are the hallmark for academics as well as the hub for R& D. He therefore used the medium to encourage the post graduate students to fervently embrace R&D as vanguards of the Academic circle.
In the same vein, the Dean, School of Post graduate Studies and Research, Professor Deborah. O. Odemiji lauded the academic dispositions of the students as well as their zest for Research and Development.
According to her, the essence of power point presentation in contemporary society can’t be overemphasized, as it’s one of the modern tools for the effective and efficient delivery of presentations in all spheres of human endeavors.
Highlights of the event was special presentations by I.C.T experts on Power point presentation as well as a question & Answer session.
