Igbinedion University Okada in collaboration with The West African Society of Toxicology (WASOT) invites the general public to the 8th International Conference of the West African Society of Toxicology (WASOT) holding at the Main Auditorium Igbinedion University’s Main Campus, Okada from Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th February 2019.
The International Conference with the theme “Toxicological Concerns in Developing Nations II” would feature International and National Agencies including UNICEF, NAFDAC, WHO, SON and other professionals from the academia and industry across West Africa.
His Excellency, Sir, Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Chancellor and Chairman Board of Regents, Igbinedion University Okada, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, will be the Father of the Day during the opening ceremony of the conference on Thursday 7th February, 2019.
Guests of honour include the Edo State Commissioner for Health, Hon. Dr. David Osifo and the Honorable Commissioner of Environment and Sustainable Development, Hon. Omowa Alonge Oni-Okpaku.
The keynote addresses would be delivered by the duo of Prof. Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, Professor of Ecotoxicology and Environmental Forensic, Vice-Chancellor Igbinedion University Okada and Professor. Lucian Obinna Chukwu, Professor of Marine Biology, University of Lagos.
The event holds under the Chairmanship of Dr. Celestine E. Ikuenobe, Managing Director, National Institute for Oil-Palm Research (NIFOR) while the Managing Director of the Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), Mr. Yusuf Shiminga Matashi, will be the Special Guest of honour.
