IUO: EXPANDING THE FRONTIERS OF KNOWLEDGE.

The Management of Igbinedion University is no doubt leaving any stone unturned in its pursuit of infrastructural upgrade and provision of high standard facilities for teaching and research in the University despite the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Very significantly is the record breaking construction and completion of the new Post-Graduate (PG) School building of the University which was completed in a record Five months. The one storey massive building is situated opposite the University auditorium in the University’s Main campus.

Other recent building projects completed or nearing completion in the University during the lockdown period are;.

  1. The newly constructed building for Engineering Design in the Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar College of Engineering.
  2. The nearly completed Methylated-Spirit production building in the Dora Akunyili College of Pharmacy in the Teaching Hospital campus.
  3. The fully Renovated Stallion 4 Male Hostel building.
  4. The newly converted and fully furnished reading room in the Old Boys Hostel.
  5. The newly installed 21st Century collapsible classroom seats in the Blue Hall (100Level GST Class) by Main Auditorium, Main Campus.

With the new reading room in place at the Old Boys Hostel, all the student hostels in the University now have a fully furnished and functional reading room to guarantee students private studies in their hostels.
