The Management team of Igbinedion University Okada comprising of the Principal Officers (Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, Librarian) and Provost Deans and Directors have continued to work relentlessly to sustain the administrative and academic activities of the University using online medium for meetings and lectures.
The Principal Ofiicers who have remained on duty since the lockdown, and have been enforcing the strict observation of social distancing rule, hand washing and use of sanitizers and nose mask within the University premises have held at least Seven strategic meetings with the Provost, Deans and Directors of the University using online medium.
The University Management are equally on the verge of holding its first Senate meeting online.
Also, the Post-Graduate Seminar Committee of the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan College of Arts and Social Sciences of the University has concluded its trial run for virtual Seminar Presentation and is now set to host the maiden edition of its virtual PhD. seminar presentation via Skype.
The Management on the other hand have since the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown been engaging all essential staff through virtual communication and have accomplished significant progress in the virtual running and management of the University affairs including monitoring and evaluating students participation in the ongoing fully deployed IUO Online Learning Management System (OLMS) and monitoring of lecturers compliance to the new teaching model.
