Igbinedion University Medical Student Selected for Prestigious 2025 World Transplant Congress

Okada, Edo State – June 11, 2025 – Igbinedion University Okada (IUO) proudly announces that Ms. Sarah Fatukasi, a brilliant 500-level medical student, has been selected as a Student Ambassador for the 2025 World Transplant Congress (WTC).  The highly competitive global selection process recognized her outstanding potential in the field of organ donation and transplantation. 

The World Transplant Congress (WTC), a premier international event, focuses on advancing organ donation awareness and transplantation science. Its Student Ambassador Program  is designed to engage and inspire 3rd and 4th-year medical students worldwide, fostering the next generation of leaders in transplant medicine. 

Ms. Fatukasi’s selection highlights IUO’s commitment to excellence in medical education and research. As an ambassador, she will participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, network with global experts, and contribute to advocacy efforts promoting organ donation in Nigeria and beyond. 

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye commended her achievement, stating, “This is a testament to the quality of training at IUO. Sarah’s accomplishment reflects our dedication to producing world-class medical professionals.”
