Mr. Frank Nweke II is a seasoned Nigerian public policy expert, ethical leadership advocate, and former federal minister. He rose to national prominence during the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo, where he served in several key portfolios, most notably as the Minister of Information and National Orientation and Minister of Youth Development. His tenure was marked by a commitment to rebranding Nigeria’s international image and driving strategic communication between the government and its citizens.
An alumnus of the
Harvard Kennedy School as an Edward S. Mason Fellow, Nweke has a robust background in both public administration and economic strategy. He served as the Director-General of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) from 2009 to 2014, where he played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between private sector interests and public policy. In 2023, he contested the Enugu State governorship election as the candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), campaigning on a platform of transparency and institutional reform. Currently, he remains a significant figure in academia and social advocacy as a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Lagos Business School and a faculty member at the School of Politics, Policy and Governance (SPPG).
