Engr. Uzoka Celestine Chukwudi is a Nigerian Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Engineering, with strong interest and competence in the application of engineering software for structural analysis, design, and simulation. He holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Benin and is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), and Nigerian Institution of Water Engineers (NIWE).
He has over fourteen (14) years of combined academic and industrial experience, including two (2) years of teaching in a Federal Polytechnic and more than twelve (12) years in the construction and oil and gas industries as a Civil Engineer, supervisor, manager, and managing director. His academic career includes lecturing, student supervision, and departmental service. He is currently a Lecturer II in the Department of Civil Engineering, Igbinedion University, Okada (2024–date).
Engr. Uzoka is proficient in the use of engineering software such as AutoCAD, ABAQUS, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Orion, and Chief Architect for structural analysis, design, and modeling of buildings, foundations, retaining walls, and related infrastructure.
His industry experience spans reputable organizations including Evomec Global Services Ltd, Southern Swamp Associated Gas Solution (SSAGS), Network Oil & Gas Ltd, DJANTI Nigeria Limited, and ACECON Nig. Ltd. He served as Lead Civil Engineer for the World Bank–assisted Edo State SEEFOR project, supervising the construction of an 8 km road in Okpella, Edo State. He also participated in the Integrated Gas Handling Facility (IGHF) project and supervised classroom blocks and housing estate developments across several states in Nigeria.
As a consultant, he has designed, supervised, and managed numerous residential and commercial projects.
He is the Managing Director of LESARC-LEVI Ltd, a civil/structural engineering consultancy based in Benin City.
Engr. Uzoka has published research in peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences, notably on elasto-plastic analysis of steel beams using ABAQUS. He has supervised over twelve (12) undergraduate and postgraduate student projects between 2017 and 2024. He currently serves as Staff Adviser to the NICE Students’ Association (NICESA) and is a member of the Structural/Building Supervisory Committee in the Department of Civil Engineering.
