Biography

Aiyanyor David Osayomwanbo is a Nigerian medical laboratory scientist, academic, and researcher with a specialization in clinical chemistry. Born on June 23, 1986, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, he has built a strong academic and professional career in medical laboratory science, with a focus on teaching, research, and clinical practice.

He obtained his Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS) degree with Second Class Upper Division from the University of Benin in 2015, followed by a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Medical Laboratory Science (Clinical Chemistry) from the same institution in 2021. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Science (Clinical Chemistry), reflecting his commitment to advanced research and academic excellence. In addition, he holds a professional certification in leadership and management in health and is an Associate of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN).

Mr. Aiyanyor has gained diverse professional experience across clinical and academic settings. He currently serves as a Lecturer II at Igbinedion University, Okada, where he is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including clinical and reproductive endocrinology, toxicology, and laboratory bio-risk management. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a laboratory scientist in several diagnostic centers and completed his internship at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, as well as his National Youth Service at Arthur Jarvis University Medical Center.

His research interests span clinical chemistry, toxicology, and public health, with several peer-reviewed publications addressing topics such as trace elements in blood transfusion, coagulation in hepatitis B patients, and environmental microbiology. He is currently conducting research on the toxicological effects of pesticide exposure among farmers in Edo State.

Aiyanyor David Osayomwanbo is a member of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria and remains committed to advancing scientific knowledge, improving laboratory practices, and contributing to healthcare development through teaching and research.
