Dr. Patience Lilian Ozor currently serves as the Acting Head of the Department of Economics. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Development Studies from Igbinedion University, Okada. A certified Procurement Management personne, Professional Certificate in Project Management. She is presently collaborating with Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, on research focused on financial inclusion among women in Nigeria.
Dr. Ozor is a member of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES) and also serves as an executive member of the Nigerian Economic Society Female Professionals (NES-FP). She has published several articles in reputable academic journals and has actively participated in numerous academic conferences, workshops, and seminars as both a presenter and an organizer.
She is passionate about promoting a collaborative and inclusive academic community. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she volunteers her time mentoring students, organizing public lectures, and supporting advocacy initiatives on issues such as digital and financial literacy, poverty reduction, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Ozor is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can grow and succeed both academically and personally.
