Dr. Ada Igwilo Named Intern of the Year 2025-2026, Joins Hospital Hall of Fame in Oregon

Igbinedion University Okada’s legacy of producing globally competitive medical professionals has been reinforced again as Dr. Ada Igwilo MD, a 2010 Medicine graduate of the Oba Okunade Sijuade College of Health Sciences, has been named Intern of the Year for 2025-2026 during her Family Medicine residency program in Oregon, USA. The honor places her among just 9 others inducted into her hospital’s Hall of Fame since the program’s inception, a recognition reserved for residents who demonstrate exceptional clinical excellence, leadership, and commitment to patient care.

Dr. Igwilo’s achievement highlights the strength of IUO’s medical training, which combines rigorous academics with clinical discipline and ethical grounding.
