Lady Celerina M. Ojomo (Member)

Born on 28th October 1953, Lady Celerina Mercy OJOMO (nee OTOBO) holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in French (1974) of the University of Ife and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Benin.

She joined the service of the University of Benin on 20th August 1975, upon completion of the compulsory one year National Youth Service scheme. 

  • She was the first female Student Affairs Officer of the University. Lady Ojomo was appointed Acting Registrar of the University in October 2006 and retired from service on 19th August 2010 after thirty-five years of unbroken, successful and meritorious public service.
  • She is currently the Chairman of Independent Television and Radio.
  • A Jerusalem Pilgrim, Lady Ojomo is also a Member, Nigerian Institute of Management, and a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public Administrators of Nigeria. She has attended many national and international seminars and conferences.
  • Lady Ojomo is happily married to Sir (Dr.) Edward Deji Ojomo. The union is blessed with three children and many grandchildren
