The Vice – Chancellor recently played host to the bank mangers of all the Banks in the community who came on a courtesy visit to the new Vice-Chancellor.
The managers include Mr. Anthony Egbochonye of the ABC Microfinance bank, Mr. Monday Osimeh of the Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Kennedy Akpengbe of Access Bank Plc also accompanied by the Head of Operations of the Branch, Miss Kessiena Okoro, Mr. Nosa Ehiorobo of the Sterling Bank.
Also in attendance at the meeting were members of the University Management, including the University Bursar, Mr. Nosa Edogiawerie, Registrar, Mr. Edwin Okoro, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr. (Mrs.) Deborah Odejimi.
In his address to the Bank Managers, the Vice-Chancellor admonished them to be more responsive to the University’s needs and reciprocate the patronage of the University, its Staff and Students by offering better and qualitative service. The Vice – Chancellor laments the shortage of ATM facilities for students and staff particularly at the Crown Estate Campus.
He therefore enjoined the Bank managers to consider setting up ATM gallery with WIFI and sitting arena for students’ relaxation on Campus. He observed that it will not be too much a sacrifice to make by the Banks.
Earlier, the Bank Managers respectively made self-introduction of the services their bank renders to the University and also stated the challenges they face during their operation.
