Dr. Vincent A. Amenaghawon is a Nigerian academic, researcher, and lecturer with extensive experience in Industrial Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology. He currently serves as Lecturer I in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at Igbinedion University Okada, where he has contributed significantly to teaching, research, academic administration, and student mentorship since 2012.
Dr. Amenaghawon obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Benin in 2002 with a Second Class Upper Division. He further earned a Master of Science degree in Industrial Mathematics in 2010 and later completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Mathematics in 2024 from the same institution.
His research interests span Industrial Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling, Markov Manpower Systems, Machine Learning Applications, Traffic Prediction Systems, Numerical Methods, and Computational Modelling. Over the years, he has published scholarly articles in reputable national and international journals, contributing to advancements in manpower planning systems, artificial intelligence applications, transport modelling, and optimization techniques.
Beyond research and teaching, Dr. Amenaghawon has held several important administrative and leadership positions within the university. He has served as Secretary of the Departmental Board, Chair of the Departmental Lecture Monitoring Committee, Chair of the Departmental SIWES Committee, Departmental Examination Officer, and Secretary of the Postgraduate Board. He has also functioned as Course Adviser across various academic levels in the Departments of Computer Science and Cyber Security.
Dr. Amenaghawon is actively involved in academic development, mentorship, and institutional service. He has participated in numerous national conferences, workshops, AI training programmes, pedagogy seminars, and professional development initiatives focused on research, hybrid learning, ethics, communication, and educational innovation.
He maintains active scholarly visibility through several academic and professional platforms, including Google Scholar, ORCID, ResearchGate, Academia, LinkedIn, and Web of Science, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning, collaboration, and impactful research dissemination.
