Biography

Ugiomo Eruteya, Ph.D., BL is an Associate Professor (Reader) of Law in the Department of Private and Property Law at Igbinedion University, Nigeria. I am ia Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with over twenty years of experience in legal scholarship, teaching, and academic leadership.
My research focuses on Environmental Law, Human Rights Law, and Public Law, with particular emphasis on environmental justice, regulatory governance, and the protection of vulnerable communities in developing jurisdictions. My work addresses critical issues such as environmental litigation, oil and gas regulation in the Niger Delta, gender discrimination, and the intersection between national security and human rights.
