Faith Osarumwense Akhimien

Faith Osarumwense Akhimien, a Civil Engineering Lecturer  with specialisation in Water and Environmental Resources, with interest in Water Quality and Environmental Resources, and software applications in Civil Engineering (Water and Environmetal Resources), is a Nigerian, holder of a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from University of Lagos. She has five (5) years’ experience in a Private University as a lecturer, A Researcher and a consultant, and twenty two (22) years’ experience in Consultancy, construction industry, real estate and Banking sector as a Resident Engineer/Project supervisor, Facility Manager and Senior Manager. She is a member of two professional bodies NSE and COREN.

Presently, in the employ of Igbinedion University, Okada as a Lecturer in the department of Civil Engineering. Her duties include Lecturing, Course advising and Research. She has experience in the use of Computer software like AutoCAD, Orion for structural design and detailing.

She worked as a Civil Engineer in Civ-Struct Associates, Senior Executive assistant in Intercontinental Bank (Now Access Bank PLc) in charge of Building Development And procurement, Viva-City Shelters as Resident Engineer and Project supervisor, Silhouette Realtors as Senior Manager Administration and Training  where she gained industrial experience in Consultancy, construction, Administration, real estate management and procurement.

She has published works in local and international Journals. She has also co-supervised and supervised some undergraduate projects.

Faith is married with children, an avid reader, whose other hobbies include writing, travelling and gardening.
