Biography

Mr Kingsley Ohiagu’s academic and professional journey has been marked by consistent excellence and recognition. In 1991, He was adjudged the Best Student in Further Mathematics (Additional Mathematics) at Imo State Senior Secondary School for Science, Etiti, Imo State, reflecting an early strength in analytical and quantitative disciplines. In recognition of his dedication to academic mentorship and professional impact, He has received multiple honors from the Nigeria Association of Computer Science, Igbinedion University, Okada Chapter, including Best Dressed Lecturer (2020/2021 Academic Session), Best Course Advisor (2021/2022 Academic Session), Best Lecturer (2022/2023 Academic Session), and the Award of Innovative Educator (2023/2024 Academic Session). These distinctions underscore his commitment to excellence in teaching, mentorship, professionalism, and innovative contributions to computer science education.

Mr Ohiagu has participated in several high-impact academic workshops and conferences, both physically and virtually, demonstrating a sustained commitment to professional development and technological advancement. Notably, he attended the 5th iSTEAMS MINTT Conference in August 2015 at the University of Benin, themed “Better by Far – Promoting Technology Transfer and Innovation through Inter-Tertiary Collaborations and Intellectual Competition.” In October 2016, he participated in the 2nd National Computer Science Conference on Cyber Security and the Emerging African Economies at Igbinedion University. His engagement with the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has been particularly extensive, this included the 14th NCS International Conference (#SmartDigital2019) held at the International Conference Centre, Gombe; the EATI2020 1st NCS Virtual International Conference on Industry 4.0; the ISDE’2021 Conference in Uyo; and the S3N2022 International Conference in Abeokuta—all attended via live streaming. All these engagements were designed to enrich his expertise in digital transformation, cybersecurity, Industry 4.0 applications, academic leadership, and sustainable national development.
