I am Engr. Dr. Mrs. Wuraola Abake Raji, a registered engineer and academic specializing in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, with over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and scholarly publication. My career is driven by a strong commitment to advancing engineering knowledge, promoting environmental sustainability, and equipping students with practical and innovative skills.
My research focuses on environmental pollution control, air quality assessment, and renewable energy. I have made notable contributions through peer-reviewed journal articles and conference publications, particularly in vehicular emissions characterization and spatiotemporal modelling. My broader research also covers pollutant dispersion modelling and atmospheric studies, strengthening my contributions to environmental monitoring and modelling.
Some of my key publications include Assessment of Vehicular-Induced Emissions in Selected Areas of Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria; Spatiotemporal Inventory of Vehicular Emissions along the Benin–Ore–Sagamu Highway; and Using Enrichment Factor Approach for Source Identification of Potentially Toxic Metals, which investigates heavy metal concentrations at high-traffic locations and their implications for air quality and public health.
I am a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and an active member of professional engineering bodies. I serve as a reviewer for several international journals, including Archives of Current Research International, African Journal of Science and Technology, International Journal of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, International Journal of Environment and Climate Change, and Asian Research Journal of Current Science. I also serve as Associate Editor of the RKGP Journal of Environmental Science, contributing to rigorous peer review and editorial development.
I am a Charter Member of the Association of Ranking Professionals, with an extensive record of scholarly publications. My work reflects a sustained commitment to sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and innovation in chemical engineering education and practice.
