Dr. LUCKY TIJANI ABDULSALAMI (Reader)

Lucky Tijani Abdulsalami was a Lecturer in Library and Information Science at the Institute of Education ABU Zaria. He is one time exams officer, student’s adviser and an admission officer from 2000, within that same period, he also lectured part-time (HND II) International Relations at the divisional college of Agriculture ABU, Zaria for some years and move to Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State where he was engage in teaching, research and practical librarianship. He became University Librarian, Head of department of Library and Information Science and was also promoted to Associate Professor on 1st July 2019 at Legacy University The Gambia and disengage on 1st July 2020. On 1st July 2020, Igbinedion University Okada the premier private University in Nigeria appointed him University Librarian; he is also a consultant at National Open University Lafia branch as Facilitator/Project/Thesis supervision. He also contested for local Government Chairman in 2007 and Kogi State House of Assembly in 2011 at Ogori-Magongo LGA area of Kogi State. He hails from Magongo in Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State. He holds Diploma in Library and information science in 1989, Bachelor of Library and information science in 1997, Master in Library and Information Science in 2010, Master of International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD) 2000, Master in Law and Criminal Justice 2005 and PhD in Library and Information Science in 2015. He has published sixty (60) academic publications in; National and International Journals, Two Textbooks and Three Book Chapters. His areas of academic interest are Marketing Information Systems and Services/Business Information Systems and Services, Information and Communication Technology, Information Resources Processing, Information Resources Development and Information Management.
