The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) supported the delivery of a pilot project in 14 Nigerian universities across the six geopolitical zones.
The project was on an enhanced approach to career and entrepreneurship training in Nigerian universities. The project had the delivery of two main programs: Stimulating Sustainable Entrepreneurial Thinking in Scientists (SSETS) for staff of universities and International Career Coaching Program (ICCP) for students of universities.
Igbinedion University was the principal partner with Lancaster University in the delivery of the project because it is the only university in Nigeria that has deployed both programs.
Yesterday a high level stakeholders forum was convened and hosted by Igbinedion University in which the results and impact of both programs accross the 14 Nigerian universities was showcased.
The program is supported by British Council and the NUC and there are now talks for an expansion project in which Igbinedion University will remain the principal partner.
