ORIENTATION PROGRAMME: VC TASKS FRESH STUDENTS TO BE FOCUSED

The Vice-Chancellor of Igbinedion University Okada, Professor Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye has challenged the newly admitted students who resumed for the 2018/2019 academic session of the University to pursue excellence with passion and to remain focused in their academic pursuit in order to achieve greatness and fulfillment in life.

Professor Ezemonye who was speaking at the 2018 resumption orientation program organized for the newly admitted students of the University noted with excitement that the students are the first set of fresh students he is receiving as Vice-Chancellor.

The vice-Chancellor observed that since his assumption of duty in July 2018, he has engaged in various tour of the colleges and other facilities in the University and is convinced that Igbinedion University Okada is indeed the hub of academic revolution in Sub-Sahara Africa. He went further to assure the students of the commitment of the University Management team, Heads of Units and all staff to their comfort and welfare throughout their stay on campus. He described the University Management team who also were in attendance at the orientation program as the Compass the students need to navigate the university environment.
He therefore encouraged the students to feel free at all times to approach any of the university officials for guidance and assistance.

Earlier, Professor Ezemonye had commended the University management team and staff members who were involved in the resumption and allocation of hostel rooms to the newly admitted students beginning from Saturday 29th September 2018 as dutiful and committed staff.

The Vice-chancellor during inspection of the activities visited the alumni center in the crown estate campus where the students and their parents were received. He also visited the male and female hostels to ascertain the level of preparedness of the university to admit and allocate the students into their various rooms.
