Professor Dominic Osaghae holds the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree awarded by the University of Benin, Benin City (1978) and the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in 1987.
He was Head, Department of Paediatrics & Child Health, Igbinedion University Okada (2010 -2018) and Dean, School of Clinical Medicine (2018 till 2023), he is the Provost, College of Health Sciences 2023 till – date and member of several Committees in the University.
He is a had served as external examiner in Paediatrics to University of Benin and Ambrose Alli University. He has research interest is in Paediatrics and Child Health and has published several articles in local, national and international journals.

Professor Osaghae was National President, Nigerian Medical Association (2000 – 2002) and served as member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Medical & Dental Council of Nigeria. He is a member of the National Institute (MNI) and Fellow of the Nigerian Medical Association.
