Dr. Edogiawerie, M.K.O. graduated from the prestigious university of Benin, Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria, with a B.A. degree in Philosophy in the year 2000. He was one of the pioneer students of the Department. He proceeded to Nigeria’s premier university- University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo state for his M.A. (masters) degree also in Philosophy in 2005. He also has an M.Sc. in International Relations and Strategic Studies in 2015 from Nigeria’s Premier Private University-Igbinedion University Okada-(IUO), Edo State. Nigeria. He bagged his doctorate degree in 2021 from the university of Ibadan in Philosophy which has been the core of his academic training, hence, Dr. Edogiawerie has 3 (three) degrees in the academic field of Philosophy.
Dr. Edogiawerie joined the services of Igbinedion university as an academic staff in the year 2007. He functioned as the coordinator of GST 112: Philosophy, Ethics, Logic and Human Existence in the General Studies Division of the university from the 2007/2008 to 2023/2024 academic sessions. GST 112 is a compulsory course taken by all first-year (100 level) students of the institution.
Dr. Morris (as often fondly called by his colleagues and friends) has taught courses in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology until 2016 when he was redeployed to the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the College of Arts and Social Sciences by Rev. Prof. E.E. Osaghae where he has been teaching courses like

Dr. Edogiawerie rose through the ranks and is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. He has attended quite a number of academic seminars, workshops and conferences. He is a member of the Nigerian Association of Political Science Scholars (NAPSS) He is also a registered member of Philosophical Association of Nigeria (PAN)
Dr. Edogiawerie is a reviewer to some high impact journals both locally, nationally and internationally
He has supervised quite a number of first- and second-Degree projects/dissertations (theses). He is currently engaged in the co-supervision of Doctorate Degrees.
