Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Maryann Ogoamaka Ezugwu commenced her Engineering career at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Imo State, where she obtained a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with Second-Class Honors (upper division) in 2005. Her pursuit of education led her to pursue her Master’s degree in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Benin (UNIBEN) Edo State in 2012, and she also completed her doctorate in 2018. She is a COREN registered Engineer and a member of the following professional bodies Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE) Nigerian Institution of Water Engineers (NIWE) Association of Professional Women Engineers (APWEN) Engr Dr. (Mrs.) Maryann O. Ezugwu has worked in many establishments including graduate trainee at Makon Engineering Technical Services Ltd, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and corp member in the Works Department, Uvwie Effurun L.G.A. Delta State, where she was part of the team that oversaw the construction of Urmarho Road in Effurun. She was a site engineer for Burvel Nigeria Limited in Warri, Delta State, where she supervised the construction of restroom facilities for Essi College 1 & 2, Warri for the Shell Community Development Project. She joined Igbinedion University Okada in 2007 as a graduate assistant. She has evolved from a graduate assistant to an associate professor at Igbinedion University Okada through her self-motivation and development. From 2017 to 2020, she was the Sub-Dean of General Abdulsalami Abubakar College of Engineering at Igbinedion University Okada. She is the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Igbinedion University Okada as well as the Director of the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). She boasts more than twenty-two (22) domestic and international publications to her name, along with more than six (6) conference papers covering societal, environmental, and human needs. She has upheld and maintained academic standards and ethics in her profession while teaching a large number of undergraduate and graduate courses for young engineers. She has participated in numerous training sessions, conferences, seminars, retreats, and workshops. Engr Dr. (Mrs.) Maryann Ogoamaka Ezugwu is happily married to Barr. J. C. Ezugwu and the marriage is blessed with four children: Chidera, Chukwuma, Chimnonso, and Chimdalu
