Prof. Abubakar Sani Sambo

Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, OON, FAS is a first class Mechanical Engineer, former Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Vice Chairman of World Energy Council, African Region and former Vice-Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. He is also:
* Pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Kaduna State University, Kaduna
* A Fellow of 9 Professional Associations in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Management; including Fellow of the prestigious Academy of Science.
* Served as Special Adviser to the President on Energy and Recipient of two National Honors –National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) 1997 and Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) 2000.
* Member, Consultative Committee for ECOWAS Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
