Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, OON (Born 31 July 1955) is a Nigerian Mechanical   Engineer, former Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Vice Chairman of World Energy Council, African Region and former Vice Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in 1995.

• A fellow of 9 Professional Associations in the area of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Management.
• Served as Special Adviser to the President on Energy and Recipient of two National Honors – National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) 1997 and Officer of the Order of the Nigeria (OON) 2000.
