The Vice-Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Okada, Prof. Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye, presented a thought-provoking paper titled
“SWARM Strategic Roadmap for Igbinedion University, Okada: Towards Circular Waste Management in Higher Education”
during the 302nd Regular Senate Meeting of the University.

The presentation sensitised University Senators on the SWARM Project—a consortium initiative under the Erasmus+ framework, co-funded by the European Union, aimed at advancing circular waste management and sustainability practices within higher education institutions.

This milestone underscores IUO’s commitment to innovative research, environmental responsibility, and global collaboration, positioning the University at the forefront of sustainability-driven transformation in Nigerian higher education.
