In a recent public lecture held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi College of Business and Management Studies within Igbinedion University, Okada, students were urged to elevate their academic endeavors by embracing artificial intelligence (AI) across various fields of study and professional industries in the technology era. The lecture, titled “AI Artificial Intelligence Chatgpt: Impact on Business and Finance,” was delivered by Professor Peter Aghimien from the University of Louisville, USA.

During his speech, Professor Aghimien highlighted the significance of AI in sectors such as banking, legal, agriculture, creative writing, poetry, logistics, arts, movies, TV production, medicine, job creation, email communication, and more. The Vice-Chancellor, Igbinedion University, Okada, Professor Lawerence Ezemonye, stressed the relevance of the topic, especially as the institution strives to promote innovation, knowledge, and excellence.

The event, attended by students and faculty members, also saw remarks from Dean Sunday Aguwamba of the College of Business and Management Studies, who commended the lecture as timely and insightful. Following the presentation, an interactive question and answer session engaged participants, with many students expressing their appreciation for the enlightening content.
